This almost new, 2016 rebuilt Fokker F-27 Friendship model boasts improved geometry, textures, and features. Nearly scale to real-world dimensions with detailed external design based on available drawings, this model comes in various format files including 3ds, obj, lwo, asc, dwg, dxf, u3d, and obj. Animateable features include ailerons, flaps, elevators, rudder, propellers, landing gear, and landing gear doors. Originally designed by Fokker in 1950, the twin-engine turbo-prop commercial passenger airliner saw its maiden flight in November 1955. Due to tail heaviness, it underwent modifications like fuselage stretch and adding three more seats. Manufactured from 1958 to 1987, over 900 Fokker F-27s were built, with another 400+ produced by Fairchild Hiller in the U.S. Many served as cargo/express package aircraft before retirement in 2009. The F-27 led to Fairchild Hiller 227 and Fokker F-50, F-60 design developments.
