This nearly new Fokker F-27 Friendship model, refurbished in 2016 with enhanced geometry, textures, and features, boasts near-scale dimensions and meticulous external detailing based on available drawings. Dating back to its maiden flight in 1955, the Fokker F-27 is a twin-engine turbo-prop commercial airliner designed by Fokker. Originally tail-heavy, it underwent modifications and a fuselage stretch to address balance issues. Produced from 1958 until 1987, over 900 Fokker F-27s were built, with an additional 400+ constructed under license in the US as Fairchild Hiller FH-227s. Many planes transitioned to cargo service after their passenger carrier days, but all retired by 2009. The F-27's legacy continued through successors like the Fairchild Hiller 227 and Fokker F-50/F-60 series.
