Available in multiple formats such as 3ds, obj, lwo, asc, dwg, dxf, u3d, and obj. The Fokker F-27 is a twin-engine turbo-prop commercial passenger airliner designed by Fokker in 1950. It saw its first flight in November 1955 with Hugo Burgerhout as pilot. Due to tail heaviness, it required modification and an extension of three feet was added, increasing seating capacity by three. Production began in 1958 and continued until 1987, with over 500 built by Fokker and another 400-plus produced under license by Fairchild Hiller in the U.S., including an extended version called the FH-227. After serving as passenger planes, many were converted to cargo/express package services, mainly for FEDEX. However, all FEDEX feeder aircraft were retired by the end of 2009, and very few remain in service today. The success of the F-27 led to the development of Fairchild Hiller 227, a stretched version of this aircraft. Further developments include the Fokker F-50 and F-60 series.
