This almost new Fokker F-27 Friendship model, rebuilt in 2016, features enhanced geometry, textures, and additional features. Near scale to actual dimensions, it boasts intricate external detailing based on available drawings. The Fokker F-27 is a twin-engine turbo-prop commercial passenger airliner developed by Fokker in 1950. It first flew in November 1955 with Hugo Burgerhout at the controls. Due to tail heaviness, modifications were made, including a fuselage stretch and extra seating capacity. Manufactured from 1958 to 1987, over 900 Fokker F-27s and FH-227s were produced. After serving as passenger aircraft, many were converted for cargo use by companies like FEDEX. However, all FEDEX F-27s were retired by the end of 2009, with only a few remaining in service today. The F-27's legacy includes the Fairchild Hiller 227 and further developments such as the Fokker F-50 and F-60.
