Originally designed by Fokker in 1950, the twin-engine turbo-prop airliner saw its first flight in November 1955. With over 900 produced by Fokker and Fairchild Hiller under license, this iconic aircraft inspired stretched versions like the FH-227, Fokker F-50, and F-60. Despite many serving as FEDEX feeder cargo aircraft, few remain in service today.
