The Fokker F-27 is a twin-engine turbo-prop commercial airliner designed by Fokker in 1950, first flying in November 1955. Many were later converted for cargo service before being retired in 2009. The F-27's success led to the development of the Fairchild Hiller 227, as well as the Fokker F-50 and F-60 derivatives.
