This nearly new Fokker F-27 Friendship model, refurbished in 2016, boasts enhanced geometry, fresh textures and additional features. The Fokker F-27 is a twin-turbo prop commercial aircraft designed by Fokker in 1950, undergoing its maiden flight in November 1955. Due to tail heaviness, it required modifications and a fuselage stretch, adding three more seats. Produced from 1958 to 1987, over 900 Fokker F-27s were built, with another 400-plus produced by Fairchild Hiller under license in the US. Following service as passenger airliners, many were converted for cargo use and flown by FEDEX until retirement in 2009. The F-27 inspired the Fairchild Hiller 227 stretch version, while further design developments included the Fokker F-50 and F-60 series.
