This model of the Dreamscape Studios is high in poly count with many details. It features a detailed rotary engine and propeller, guns, and cockpit, built near to scale and fully textured. All materials and textures are included in this model, which also includes animateable features such as ailerons, rudder, elevators, and wheels. The rotary engine and propeller operate spinning, as seen through animated sequences. This model comes with several formats available for download upon purchase. Options for liveries of famous triplanes are provided. The Fokker DR-1 was created as a fighter plane to compete against the Sopwith triplane which started serving in early 1917. Unfortunately, it turned out that this fighter plane was slower than most allied fighters at that time. Additionally, the triplane model faced several problems with its wings failing during flight, leading to design modifications. These deficiencies had to be addressed while dealing with Germany's struggle to keep up with their war effort by that time. It is worth noting that I saw a real 1918 Fokker Triplane for sale in 2007 at $15,000, in need of restoration.
