The Fokker DVII was an exceptional fighter plane during WWI, designed by Reinhold Platz for the Luftwaffe. Before the war's end, 3,300 were produced, known for their speed, maneuverability, and sturdiness. Its top speed reached 124 mph, outperforming most allied fighters of that time. The aircraft emerged from a competition involving top German pilots who recommended it after improvements were made. Manfred Von Richtoven initially found the predecessor V11 dangerous but after modifications, he endorsed the DVII, leading to an initial order of 400 units. In combat, the DVII was tough to shoot down and easy to fly, leaving a significant impact on air warfare. After WWI, Germany surrendered the DVIIs to allied forces, which continued using them into the 1930s worldwide. The Fokker DVII was even used by the US Army Signal Corps for air mail delivery in the 1920s. This aircraft boasts detailed exterior and cockpit design, animateable features like landing gear, rudder, ailerons, and controls, plus the intricate Mercedes engine's top-end detail.
