The Fokker DVII was undoubtedly the premier fighter plane during WWI, designed by Reinhold Platz for the Luftwaffe. Producing 3300 aircraft in 1918 before war's end, it boasted impressive features such as speed up to 124 mph and maneuverability that outperformed most allied fighters. Its design arose from a competition involving top German pilots who recommended the plane after modifications were made to address safety concerns raised by Manfred Von Richtoven. After WWI, Germany surrendered their Fokker DVIIs to the Allies, which continued being used until the 1930s worldwide. Notably, US Army Signal Corps employed these planes for air mail delivery in the 1920s. The model features detailed exterior and cockpit textures, animateable components like landing gear, rudder, ailerons, cockpit controls, and propeller, as well as intricately detailed Mercedes engine.
