Focus - Productivity Timer

Focus is a unique organisational tool which aims to keep you focused for fixed intervals of time, inspired by the Pomodoro technique. Focus builds on readily available egg timers, apps and stopwatches to create an intuitive solution to keeping focus on a task at hand. The key to Focus's design is a dual material PLA (Hard) / TPE (Flex) composite lid which allows for a completely concealed push button, achieved by adding a command to your gcode at a height of 5mm. This can be done manually or with the help of ColorPrint by Prusa3D. Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa i3 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.05, 0.1, 0.2 Infill: 45% Notes: Print parts with outside surfaces facing upwards to hide unsightly overhangs or support marks once assembled. Top: If sufficient cooling is available, you can print this part without supports. After saving the gcode file, add a command 5mm into the print either manually or by dragging it into ColorPrint by Prusa3D. Bottom: I recommend support to allow twist lock contacts to print without issues. Using FOCUS: 1. Standby Focus sits waiting for input to start a session. 2. Focus At the push of a button, a 25min timer is started. Remaining time is conveyed by a NeoPixel ring dropping an LED every 1m30s. A vibrating motor provides tactile feedback to each button press and adds an audible cue when the 25 minutes are complete. If something comes to mind during your 25min Focus, make a note of it. It's normal to have a small list of distractions so check on them during your 5min rest. 3. Distractions After your 25min, a 5min timer is started which provides time to catch up on any distractions experienced within your Focus time. Need more time? Hit Focus again to add an additional 5min you might need to complete a task. Once the 5min is up, Focus will return to standby and wait for you to start another session. Programming Download the "focus.ino" file. Download the elapsedMillis & FastLED libraries. Once opened, change the four pin numbers to the Arduino pins you intend to use. 2. Electronics To fit all of the components inside the Focus case, you will need to solder each part without headers. Headers typically take up too much space in compact projects and don't work in this case. It may be useful to solder the circuit together first and then change the code's four pin numbers in the "focus.ino" file before uploading to the Arduino.
