Foamboard Bevel Cutter V1
thingiverse
I created something new to share with you here for the first time, a design aimed at making a bevel control surface for RC foam or Depson Plan users. The main purpose of this project is to enable precise cuts on 6mm thick Depron/Foamboard material at a 45-degree angle, allowing both right and left angled cuts. Additionally, you can easily modify the other three mounting holes according to your preferences. Once printed, you're free to use it as-is or feel encouraged to customize it further by following the instructions below: Choose from among the three different BevelCutter designs available: BevelCutter V1 NoWindow: Requires no additional support during printing, but has limitations in accessing its internal area. BevelCutter V1 Penta: Also needs minimal external support during the printing process and offers access to the inner section for nut placement (if necessary). BevelCutter V1 Round: Needs very little extra support during printing; also provides access to the interior part, ideal for adding nuts as needed. If you prefer a more personalized BevelCutter design, feel free to download the provided SketchUp file (.skp) and modify it accordingly. To complete this project effectively, you will need: 2 pieces of 5mm long M3 screws (alternatively, use 7mm M3 if desired for nutting). Standard utility blades. For printing purposes, utilize a Prusa i3 printer at the following settings: Layer thickness: 0.3mm Infill level: 50% Estimated printing time: approximately two hours Filament consumption: roughly 10 meters of 1.75 PLA material.
