Foam Terrain Stamp - Snow / Dirt - 1" grids

I created large-scale foamcore terrain for outdoor landscapes, previously using tin foil balls and handmade grid carvings with mixed results. This stamp makes it possible to create consistent grids without measuring, drawing, or hand-sculpting. Here's how I make mine: 1. Peel off one backing sheet from dollar store foam board. 2. Place the stamp on a flat floor surface, cover it with a board or book, and step on it for consistent pressure. 3. Move the stamp and repeat until the entire board is covered. The impressions will align perfectly with the edges. 4. Roll up tin foil into a ball and press it around the sheet for added texture (optional). 5. Cut cardboard to size and hot glue it to the back of the foam board for rigidity. 6. Add extra strength by hot gluing along the edges, then smearing the tip of the glue gun on them (optional). 7. Apply Mod Podge mixed with acrylic color as a base coat, slathering it onto the surface. 8. Wash the terrain with a paint and water mixture to add contrast and depth (black or dark brown for dirt, light blue for snow) - optional. This is just the first of many stamps I plan to create, and this one was a prototype. The grid lines were initially thick, requiring significant weight and pressure to produce good impressions. For my next set, I will make them thinner, allowing for easier hand-pressing. It's also essential to use sufficient infill material (I used 50% infill) for added strength. A finished ice sheet will be uploaded later today or tomorrow!
