Foam supported dampening feet
prusaprinters

I've created dampening feet for my printer (Metamaquina 2) to reduce its noise and reduce vibrations.
I believe that the machine works better if its frame is able to move a little bit, reducing the stress on the structure while printing (kinda like earthquake resistant buildings).

Instructions

I've used a soft foam that is able to hold the weight of the printer on it's four feet without much compression. The foam is about 2 cm thick (3/4") and 3.8 x 3.8 cm. You'll need four pieces.

Print the superior part with supports.
Category: 3D Printer Parts
