Foam Splitter for Covid19 Mask Comfort Seal

This small, handy tool splits foam caulking tubes into two halves with ease. The resulting split tubing provides an excellent comfort seal for 3D printed masks, making them more comfortable and probably even more effective. The lightweight, flexible, and affordable 3/8" foam caulk saver is a great buy, especially considering the price at Home Depot. For just a few dollars, you can get the Frost King brand, available online or in-store. Splitting the caulk tube in half neatly was the main challenge, so I designed this tool to hold a single-sided razor blade securely in place, right in the middle of the tube. The foam is then drawn through the tool and split into two halves, ready for taping or gluing to the inside edge of the mask. I'd like to thank mesheldrake for creating a model of a single-edged razor blade, which greatly simplified the design process of this handy tool.
