Foam Board Battery Hatch

Foam Board Battery Hatch

thingiverse

A Simple Lightweight Battery Access Hatch for Foam Board Projects. The hatch frame fits snugly inside a 2-inch wide tube, making it perfect for foam board projects. To create the opening, cut out a piece from the foam board and then trim it to size, gluing it securely into the door. For easier access, add a small piece of tape near the release latch on the hatch door. This will make it simpler to open the hatch when needed. The design features a simple panel that slides in at the bottom and locks into place at the top, providing secure access without any hinges. Note: As a 3D printing model creator, I'm aware of the limitations of my printer. It's an older model with minor quirks, but it generally produces accurate prints. However, holes tend to print smaller than their actual size due to these quirks. To ensure accuracy, test print each part and verify that any attached hardware fits properly before bulk printing.
