FMS Ranger 1800 Strut End Replacement If you are like me then you would have snapped the end of the strut due to transporting the plane. Having found out it is hard to purchase, I decided to redesign my own version. I had to drill out the old broken strut. I have designed three versions, 1 is in the similar style as the original but slight different shape. Version 2 I added a flange on the outer side to give it some strength as this is where I broke mine. Version 3 I added another arm which will require a longer screw than the original but should give it extra strength. To create a left or right you will need to mirror the stl in cura. These are a bit rough but they do the job just fine. I did not glue my versions into the tube because I may need to replace them again and there is no need as they are long enough not to pop out once in place. Have fun.
