FM Brushless Motor Mount

FM Brushless Motor Mount

NOT a Flite Test Motor Mount. Version 2 includes an opening for wires to pass through. I designed the Fly Mike Motor Mount to fit snugly inside a 2" by 2" outer dimension, crafted from R.L. Adamas foamboard tubes. While Flite Test excels, I felt constrained by the challenge of integrating power pods into my designs. This design has overcome that obstacle for me, enabling me to mount my motor anywhere within a custom housing. The design features a 16mm by 19mm bolt pattern and horizontal skewer holes, accommodating most standard bamboo BBQ skewers. Note: I model with consideration for the limitations of my 3D printer. Although it's old and has minor quirks, its overall accuracy is good. However, holes tend to print smaller than intended due to its age. To compensate, I've designed holes slightly larger than needed. Before bulk printing, test-print each part and ensure that attached hardware like wire or skewers fit properly.
