FlyZone GeeBee motor mount
thingiverse
I crashed my Flyzone Gee Bee and smashed the motor box. I engineered this replacement to withstand future crashes. I stripped out the steel balls that served as weight stabilizers, opting instead for a lighter design. You can either print this part with increased infill density or add stick-on wheel weights inside the mount for added ballast. Gorilla glue the mount firmly to the firewall using three screws to provide extra support. The total weight of the mount sans motor must be approximately 110 grams. As of April, I've yet to take the plane on a proper test flight, but I have successfully run the engine on the ground.
