Animation here: http://library3dengineer.blogspot.com/2018/05/flywheel-speed-amplifier-idea-mechanism.html Input: A rocker getting motion from a Watt steam engine turns a pink crank shaft. A blue gear of tooth number Z1, attached to a blue conrod, rotates in perfect harmony with its companion piece. Attached to this same assembly is a yellow flywheel featuring an impressive 17 toothing pattern, or 'Z2' as engineers refer to it. Amazingly enough, both 'Z1' and 'Z2' display the exact same level of complexity - what we like to call precision. Now for some thrilling news: at this point, it becomes crystal clear that our blue flywheel spins at an incredible 8 revolutions per minute faster than its more stationary counterpart. While size would typically pose a significant challenge when designing such components, the presence of a high-powered gear system makes possible the miniaturization of a major element. At least to those who know what they're doing. To all our awesome engineers out there: I am simply overjoyed that we get to design with you faster together! Thanks for the enthusiasm!
