A flywheel is a rotating mechanical device that stores rotational energy and resists changes in speed. Used in applications such as continuous power supply, high-rate energy delivery, and orientation control, flywheels can be made of steel or carbon fiber materials depending on the required revolution rate. Modern carbon-fiber flywheels can reach speeds of up to 60,000 RPM. In fact, carbon-composite flywheel batteries are now being tested in real-world scenarios and have proven eco-friendlier than their steel counterparts. Stay tuned for the next project on motorcycle engine internal setup!
