Flysky GT3C RC Thumb Steer
thingiverse
When driving RC cars or rock crawling, it's super helpful to have the ability to control all functions with just one hand. This is especially true when navigating long trails or trying to capture video at the same time. To make this possible, I've designed a print that attaches to the FlySky GT3C RC controller. It allows you to steer your car or boat using your thumb while controlling the throttle with your index finger. The steering arm even features ridges to provide extra grip. In addition, I've included an indent in the center of the steering arm. This gives you the flexibility to rotate it and use your middle finger for steering - whatever works best for you. During testing, I found that attaching the steering arm didn't cause any issues with steering using my other hand. It slides on and off easily either way. The steering extension is secured around the control wheel using a M4 hex bolt (15mm), two washers, and a nut. This makes it a straightforward process to set up. I'll be releasing another version soon that doesn't require a bolt. It should work just as well but won't give you the option to adjust the tightness. If you're interested in a similar solution for your FTX control, I've got you covered with a separate design: FTX Mauler One Handed Steering. Just search for it and you'll find it.
