Drawing inspiration from previous models, I created this custom design from scratch using the original FlySight cover step file as my starting point. The main difference lies in the angled mounting of the module, which provides better access to the rotary switch. To achieve this, I extended the pins by soldering a 90-degree 0.1-inch pin header to the existing ones. Notably, no modifications were made to the original design. To ensure a secure fit, extra tabs have been added to the cover. Additionally, I removed the original tabs from my goggles to accommodate the new design. A wedge-shaped support is included to hold the module in place using double-sided tape at its tilted angle. The holes on this custom design are large enough for SMA connectors to tighten down without touching, and a small internal support helps secure the module firmly in place. This custom design was printed with PLA using 0.2mm layers, requiring no supports during printing.
