This is a new carriage design from the ground up for Flyingbear P905 and P905x. The goal of this project was to: - Mount a J-Head E3d V6 clone - Add custom fan duct - Replace the original extruder with a direct drive, similar to the Bondtech model - Adapt a Prusa Laser Sensor clone on top of the direct drive To accomplish this, I had to design and build all components: - Carriage - Direct drive - Fan duct - Upper section - Fan duct - Lower section - Support for Inductive sensor - Auto-leveling (original sensor replaced with an 8mm detection) The project is nearly complete and I've used the new Carriage + JHead + Direct drive + Prusa sensor for several weeks, and all functions work as expected. - As the MKS Gen L v1.0 does not provide I2C pinout necessary to connect the Prusa Sensor, I used a Wemos ESP8266 d1 mini and Micropython to handle it and send a signal to the MKS like a simple filament sensor. - I chose Micropython language over Arduino C/C++ because it's easier for me. The code to manage the Laser Sensor has less than 300 lines and could be ported to Marlin, probably. In parallel, I'm remixing another project (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2992637) about adapting MMU2 multi-material from Prusa to the Flyingbear P905. In the future, I will provide all source files of each model created with Solvespace software and give more information on this project. Please be patient, my English is not perfect. 09/03/2019 Update - Added all models designed using Solvespace 3D software - Added Micropython program to control the Prusa Clone Optical Laser Sensor
