Flying wing LIPO bay

Flying wing LIPO bay

I designed a foam reinforcement for my wing after removing it from the lipo setup to provide extra stability. I'm using 4S 1550 Tattu and 4S 1500 Bonka packs. The bay is not intended to hold the full battery, but rather to reinforce the foam and sit halfway down. This design likely accommodates many other lipo brands. I run two of these in parallel for extended flights that last half an hour. This reinforcement piece serves as a structural component - I print it with 100% infill at 0.15mm layers, slightly hotter than usual settings, to ensure the material melts together well and avoids layer separation. After printing, I glue all sides of this bay onto the wing. This approach significantly reduces damage from crashes and landings, as putting lipos up front creates a weak spot in the wing that's prone to injury.
