Flying wing launcher - Add-on for GASB One
thingiverse
We noticed that in the video of GASB One (https://youtu.be/qRAx6DWyv4M) during takeoff, we didn't launch the flying wing as usual for this type of model. Instead, we used an add-on attached under the body of the flying wing. This was done for two reasons: first, because there are very few of us who use the flying wing at our airfield and lack familiarity with the launch procedure; second, since the wings' thickness is very thin, we preferred to avoid potential damage by using this method. Print Settings Printer: Prusa rework i3 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: 15% Notes: Top/Bottom thickness: 0.8mm - Shell thickness: 0.8mm Weight: 11.5g Post-Printing Fix the add-on with bi-adhesive to secure it under the body of the flying wing. We recommend using bi-adhesive instead of glue, as demonstrated in our experience when we tested this method and observed that a wrong landing would cause damage if glue had been used, but not if bi-adhesive was applied. In fact, during one of our early landings, you can see at 2:22 minutes into the video that the launcher unglued, thus saving the flying wing from potential damage.
