Flying Pumpkin (Balloon)
myminifactory
Flying Pumpkin is a Halloween-themed toy/game that uses a motorized fan, mechanical controls, and aerodynamics to make a pumpkin balloon fly. I saw this concept when I was six years old at a Sears store in the vacuum cleaner department where they used a vacuum cleaner's exhaust to make a small beach ball fly. After months of asking my mom if I could use her vacuum cleaner for this purpose, she refused, but fortunately, a few years later the Johnny Astro toy was introduced and she gave it to me for my birthday. This toy allowed me to design, print, build, and test different versions, which I really enjoyed. Even with the availability of miniature helicopters and quadcopters, kids and grandkids love watching their pumpkin balloons take off, fly, and land. Unlike those high-tech toys, you can't crash a pumpkin balloon! I probably forgot some files, so if you have any questions, just ask, as I make mistakes all the time. Designed using Autodesk Fusion 360, sliced with Cura 2.7.0, and printed in PLA on an Ultimaker 2+ Extended and a dual-extrusion Ultimaker 3 Extended.
