Flying Point Probe 2000 RC Buggy Parts - Torsen Nitro car
thingiverse
Flying Point Nitro Buggy parts. An old 90's RC Nitro car with parts no longer available I'll update and add more parts as I work through the parts I need. Update: After testing the spur gear my findings are: Plastic printed gears for Nitro buggies need to be made from a stronger material than PETG & ABS. I currently don't have the printer upgrades to print Poly-carbonate or Nylon X. To use the 50 tooth metal Mod 1.0 gear ring for a Traxxas X Maxx you will need to print part 1 and 2. The ring gear is a couple of mm thicker than the original Flying Point gear so the part 2 casing is required as it is shorter than the original to make up difference. You will need to swap the innards and the pressed bush from your original diff. The Part 2 adaptor has 2- off 4mm holes to suit M3 brass inserts to screw it together using M3 button head screws. You will also need to open up the slot in the top plate (Anodised blue plate) with a file to accommodate the thicker gear. Note: Print part 1 flat side down (not upside down as shown) with no supports Print part 2 with supports from bed only in orientation shown. Note The Probe had 51 Teeth, so output will differ slightly from original.
