Flying miniature bases for table top gaming
thingiverse
When I first started printing, one of the initial things I downloaded was a set of flying bases. I've been using them for over a year and a half now, but when I tried to print more, I found that the files were corrupted. I went back to Thingiverse to download them again, only to discover that they had vanished? I'm not sure if they'd been taken down or labeled as something other than bases, so I headed over to Tinkercad and remade them from scratch - and then proceeded to add my own twist (which I may continue to do). These new flying bases can soar up to 40ft in altitude, and I even added a 50mm base courtesy of Dutchmogul's incredible designs on Thingiverse. Sorry, Dutch, you have so many amazing creations that it was hard for me to track down the exact ones I used a year ago! To stabilize the taller bases, I also designed a 50mm topper. The best part? They're designed to print without supports. If anyone can provide me with the original link, I'd be happy to give them credit where it's due. In any case, feel free to have fun with these flying bases!
