Flying Maid

Flying Maid

This model is inspired by a vintage French wooden version I acquired years ago, which had become dulled by dust and grime. Recognizing an opportunity to upgrade, I decided to convert it into a modern 3D printed iteration. The new design simplifies the original concept while eliminating unnecessary features inherited from its wooden counterpart. The model prints effortlessly, requiring no support or brims. However, some rotational adjustments may be necessary when aligning components flat on the print bed. Fortunately, there's no need for adhesives – even the 3D printed straps are securely held in place by ring 13's slotted lugs. To offer a variety of color options, I opted to print each body ring individually. These rings stack loosely atop the column of ring 1 and are locked into place by pressing the head (neck) firmly in position.
