Flying maid
thingiverse
This model is inspired by a vintage French wooden one I acquired several years ago, but it had collected dust and grime over time. Realizing that I could upgrade it to a 3D printed version, I decided to simplify its design and eliminate unnecessary features from its original state. It's easy to print this model without any need for supports or brims. However, some rotation may be required when aligning parts on the print bed to ensure they're flat. Fortunately, gluing is not necessary – even the 3D printed straps are held securely in place by the slotted lugs on ring 13. To offer more customization options, I chose to print each body ring individually. This allows users to choose different colors for each ring. The rings stack loosely on the column of ring 1 and can be locked into place by pressing the head (neck) onto the top ring.
