Flying Hoop
thingiverse
Flying Ring Prototype / Flying Hoop Design Inspired by Tom Stanton's Flywheel Plane. The design calls for attaching the flying ring to a brushless motor using a 6mm prop adaptor, then launching it at an angle just above horizontal. The ring features an aerodynamic shape and small propeller blades that should generate enough thrust for sustained horizontal flight without overloading the ring with excessive drag. This prototype is currently in development and has not undergone testing or completion of the printing process. Therefore, its functionality remains uncertain and may require revision before it can be considered a viable flying device.
