Flying extruder for Delta printers

How it works: https://youtu.be/spw1ihSzrZo Hello all, I designed this flying extruder mod for my BIQU printer because it significantly reduces the risk of extrusion problems with long PTFE tube and flexible filaments. The tube is now only 70mm long, down from 650mm. This design avoids numerous issues such as excessive retractions, difficult extrusion of flexible filaments, and filament bending in the tube. I designed this mod specifically for my BIQU Kossel Pro printer, but it can be used with any delta printers that have a 20x20 aluminium profile and standard linear guides. You may need to adjust the pendulum size; if you require other sizes, please ask, and I will create them for you. Please follow these instructions carefully to achieve the best results! What you need: * Print all my STL files * A 40mm stepper motor * Two 625 bearings * Twelve M2x4 hex screws * Two M5x30 hex screws with a corresponding nut * Two M4x8 hex screws and T-nuts (boat nuts) * Four (depending on your extruder type) * An elastic tensioner or sewing elastic rope, or a very thin steel cable INSTRUCTIONS: * Mount the extruder on the extruder support and weigh it down. Find an object with the same weight; I used a 1306K bearing that has exactly the same weight. You can use bolts, nuts, or even print a weight! * Mount the carriage supports * Cut a PTFE tube approximately 130mm long (60mm inside the extruder and 70mm outside) * Find the center of gravity using the notches created on the extruder support * Install the weight and the extruder on the pendulum with the rope, making sure it's not too long or too short. Move the extruder from up to down by hand to verify the rope length. * Attach elastic stretchers or sewing elastic to the three arms of the extrusion support using hard steel wire * Attach the other side of elastics to the carriage supports while trying to tighten them a little so that the extruder remains in the center * I attached the extruder to the delta center with cable ties to prevent the tube holder from forcing (you can see white cable ties on photos) * If you like this design, please think about liking or saying thanks. Share your made one! I am not responsible if something breaks or if your printer self-destructs.
