Human: Designed specifically for Hobbywing Flyfun V5 160A and 130A HV OPTO ESCs, this fan mount is optimized for use with a 40mm Hobbywing Platinum V4 fan but should also work well with any other 40mm fan featuring 32mm mounting hole spacing. When using Hobbywing fan M3 screws measure 14mm in length; however, other fans may require differently sized screws. It's crucial to ensure that the screws do not obstruct the heatsink on the ESC. The provided M3 nylock nuts are designed for interference fit and should be installed permanently into their respective holes by tightening the screw until the nut is securely seated. There are three distinct versions of this fan mount available: one with countersink screws that allow for surface attachment via double-sided adhesive tape, a version featuring plain through holes where both the ESC and fan mount can be screwed directly to the mounting surface, and a special design tailored to the Rush 750 (or any heli boasting a 46mm wide frame). On the countersink and Rush versions of the ESC mount, it's necessary to employ a small adjustable wrench to secure the nylock nuts at the battery end due to insufficient clearance between the nut and the side of the ESC for a traditional nut driver. 4/11/17 A TSA Infusion 700 version has been added. This updated design utilizes switch mount cutouts in the side frames (the original ESC mount must be removed). Additionally, the distance between the fan mount and the ESC has been reduced by 3mm and the bottom plate thickness increased from 3mm to 4mm. When testing this version, I used a Yeah Racing 40mm fan which required replacing the JST plug with a servo plug; I also utilized 14mm screws, leaving about 1mm of clearance between the end of the fan screws and the top of the heatsink. The ESC's mounting screws are countersink type and install from the rear. To ensure proper routing, run the throttle lead between the back of the ESC mount and the vertical frame brace. Due to this setup, it became necessary to use a short extension on the programming lead (installation pictures have been uploaded).
