The cockpit includes an intricate instrument panel with select controls and instruments. The landing gear can be extended or retracted for animation purposes. This detailed model is available in 12 formats and 20 unique paint schemes. The Bowers Fly Baby is a homebuilt, single-seat aircraft characterized by an open cockpit, wood and fabric construction, and low-wing monoplane design. Created by renowned US aircraft designer Peter Bowers, the first prototype took flight in 1962 and is now exhibited at the Museum of Flight in Seattle. With over 500 completed Fly Babies still flying worldwide, a thriving community of builders and owners continues to support this iconic aircraft.
