Crafted almost at actual size, this model boasts animateable features such as ailerons, flaps, tabulator, rudder, and propeller. The intricately detailed cockpit houses an instrument panel with some controls and instruments. Extendable or retractable landing gear allows for smooth animation. This aircraft is available in 12 formats and 20 unique paint schemes. Designed by renowned US aircraft architect Peter Bowers, the Fly Baby is a single-seat, open-cockpit, wooden and fabric low-wing monoplane. Its first flight took place in 1962, and it now resides at the Museum of Flight in Seattle. Over 500 Fly Babies have been completed to date, with numerous models still flying worldwide. An active community of builders and owners continues to support this iconic aircraft.
