Fly Tying Tool Caddy
thingiverse
I needed a way to organize my fly tying tools. This is my second version, and it works pretty well (when I actually put the tools back). It has spaces for 6 pair of scissors / tweezers / etc., four bobbins, wax, hair stacker, whip finisher, 2 hackle pliers, and multiple pointy things. I put 2mm craft foam in two of the rectangular spaces so that I can stick needles etc. into them. The front rectangular space is for a magnet (or you could put more foam). The magnet is nice for keeping loose hooks. There are spaces in the middle for hook packages. I use the far right rectangular spaces for bits of dubbing, or loose beads etc. The photo is the caddy in actual use. This is about as organized as my tying desk gets. This model takes a while to print. I use a 0.6mm nozzle at 0.3 layer height and it still takes 8 or 9 hours on my printer. I designed this in 123D
