Fly lure rattler
thingiverse
I designed a simple fly case that creates a rattle effect for my peacock bass streamer flies in my area. This design works effectively by drawing the peacock bass out of hiding to inspect the lure closely before attacking it. Please refer to the following setup I used when printing and assembling this 3D print case below. 1. Scale up the case part by 135% 2. Scale up the cap by 128% 3. Ensure your printer's Z offset is close enough so you don't need additional adhesion to the build plate. It may not print well with raft type adhesion. 4. Add four pieces of 2.8mm diameter split shots or ball bearings, and then cap it off. Apply a small amount of sealant to the gaps in the cap to ensure it is watertight. I use super glue and find it works well for me. 5. Lastly, add this to your next streamer lure when tying it, and enjoy.
