I was itching to get my hands on the new X-Controller so I created a custom laser cut case for my X-Carve electronics and loaded up the base with numerous options. The relay is conveniently located internally, equipped with two plugs featuring separate switches that allow each one to be toggled between on/off or relay mode. An E-Stop button and start/hold/reset buttons are readily available. All connections have been moved to the front of the case and the control switches are mounted on top for easy access. Additionally, a viewing port has been integrated into the design, allowing me to visually inspect and troubleshoot the Arduino or relay in real-time. UPDATE: I upgraded the design with Version 2, reconfiguring the button layout on top and relocating the Arduino mount directly behind the fan to maximize airflow. The fan itself was moved from its original position on the back of the case up and to the right, creating a straight airflow path from front to rear. This created an opportunity to add another fan above the power supply, allowing for even greater airflow. To check out this innovative enclosure in action, be sure to watch the attached video.
