Interpreted abandoned channel-fill within a dominantly sandstone succession, the Aptian Marizal Formation, Tucano Basin, Bahia, Brazil. A virtual outcrop wall reaches up to 16 meters high. Interpretation is grounded on architectural element analysis and statistical distribution of bed thickness as described by Freitas & Almeida (2017). Channel fills in ancient fluvial sandstone sheets are recognized from the Marizal Formation (Aptian, Northeastern Brazil), a study presented at the International Conference on Fluvial Sedimentology 11.
