This intake connects directly to the hose provided with the Fluval FX6 canister filter at purchase. To attach the hose, heat up its end using a heat gun set on the lowest setting until it becomes pliable. Then insert it into the top coupler of the intake. As you print the top coupler, make sure to orient it correctly: the side with the faint line inside should face upwards. This line is slightly smaller on the bottom, allowing for a secure fit with the 10-inch pipe. The FX6 can be primed without any issues using this intake, and it will fit snugly into place without requiring glue or other chemicals that could harm your fish tank's ecosystem.
