Fluval Aquarium Filter Intake Strainer
thingiverse
A very simple intake strainer I created after watching one of my Clown Loaches disappear into the intake :O (it was fine, though - as it was straight into my Magnum Polisher, where I found him swimming around :) )....Anyway, it's designed to fit onto the cut end of the 22mm (OD) 17mm (ID) Fluvial ribbed hose commonly used on the 306/307 406/407 models (it may also fit others, just check your hose size). Due to its basic triangular geometry (not a perfect circle), this design fits really snug onto the hose (you have to sort of thread it onto the hose) which is great because it won't fall off.\r\n\r\nI printed it in the same orientation as the print bed image above, with a 0.25 layer height and 100% infill, no supports needed.\r\nI used PLA, and after a couple of months of use, my fish seem fine - I've noticed no changes to water parameters and the strainer hasn't degraded in any way, shape or form.
