Flute
thingiverse
I recreated a flute using a friend's loaned model and made it printable with my Replicator 2. The design calls for a four-part print, ready to slice as a convenient .thing file. To achieve high quality sound, I set the printer to High Resolution with 100% infill, 8 shells, raft, and supports. The print took 22.3 hours and cost $7.13 at $.038/gram. Assemble the flute by connecting the main sections with epoxy while keeping the fourth smaller piece movable. An acquaintance mentioned it played in D flat minor, but adjusting print settings can alter the sound. For more info, check out http://www.eibsales.com/.
