My kids began to show genuine interest in learning to play an instrument, which sparked my own desire as a geek dad to ignite their curiosity about STEM activities. I decided to transform their musical enthusiasm into a gateway to 3D printing by merging the two interests. After creating a few other people's designs, I dove headfirst into researching the fundamental physics and math behind acoustics in air columns, which proved to be an incredibly rewarding experience. This led me to design my very first official flute from scratch, marking a major milestone in my journey as a maker and educator.
