Flushable Toilet

The model showcases the siphoning action essential for modern flush toilets. When filling the bowl gradually, water trickles over the siphon tube's apex, determining its natural fill level. Conversely, sudden addition of water causes the tube to fill and create suction, expelling most water from the bowl. It is crucial to ensure the model is airtight and watertight for it to function correctly. To assist in this, a small open disc has been inserted above a problematic area within the plumbing, encouraging skeinforge to add extra solid layers at the tube's apex. The bowl has 2mm thickness, and the thread width determines its print quality. A thickness below 0.5mm requires four layers, while greater thicknesses print as two nested shells. Moreover, M3 mounting holes are available for attaching a tank if desired. This model has been improved after initial test prints, boasting a smoother surface mesh and addressing a previously thin back area. However, the printer currently lacks sufficient natural ABS to print it in its proper color.
