This "thing" is engineered to bolster the Z axis coupling on Flsun I3 2017, with Nema 17 securely mounted atop the frame. The standard couplings prove too springy and frequently "spider" type couplers pull apart. A stabilizer employs a 608ZZ bearing to support the substantial weight of the Z axis. The bearing is not fully constrained in the axial plane, thus it should not create Z wobble issues. Notably, the original acrylic Z motor mounts have not been replaced with aluminum, which may compromise the effectiveness of this mod due to potential flex in the acrylic mounts.
