Flsun Y Carriage Repair/Upgrade

Flsun Y Carriage Repair/Upgrade

thingiverse

A long time ago, I upgraded an flsun i3 3d printer with a heating pad (instead of the pcb IIRC), and it was a great upgrade but slowly started cracking the acrylic. At a certain point I had maybe one print left, so I printed a replacement carriage. This is it. I hate posting things that aren't in themselves self-contained or have guides, but I gave up that printer a long time ago. **If someone could send me a picture of the bottom of their flsun i3, I'd be more than happy to walk them through it and update this with a guide**, but the gist is that you print 2 of each of the rail mounts the cable belt attachment, a few of the linear rod mount spacers, and the rod bearing attachments (as needed), and then can replace your y-carriage. I figured its better to upload something already designed than to let it sit uselessly in an old onshape account. *Note: While this setup worked WONDERS for me, and survived the test of time on very high temp prints, etc, I can't say I would suggest it over a properly tested and assembled part.*
