FLSun SuperRacer Tool Holder

FLSun SuperRacer Tool Holder

thingiverse

This small tool holder attaches to one of the vertical columns of the FLSun Super Racer printer. It requires no drilling, screws, or any alteration to the printer. It stays in place because of simple friction, which makes it surprising stable. Because it fits the vertical column quite tightly, Installing it is a bit tricky to do. Here's the technique to use: It can be installed from either the top or the bottom of the column. I opted for installing from the bottom because to install it from the top requires removing the printer's top cover. I used one hand to top the printer back on 2 feet opposite the Y columns and, holding the tool holder in my other hand, I pushed it on to the bottom of the Y column. It takes some force and wiggling to do this and, because the tolerance is very tight, you might have to file or sand off any burrs or bumps on the tool holder edges. It will fit on to the column, so don't give up! Once on it is fairly easy to slide it to whatever position you want. Note that the holder is designed for a slim scraper, not the wide one that comes with the SR. I prefer the slim one anyway because it is easier to maneuver and use. Also, I only use the glue stick for size comparison when making photos of my prints, so you might want to use this space for something else. This part printed in a little more than 3 hours sing a print speed of 100 mm/sec and a layer height of 0.200 mm.
