FLSUN Super Racer Micro SD to Micro SD Extension Mount

Constitutionally using the Micro SD Card slot on the FLSUN Super Racer could eventually ware out the mechanism that is mounted to the Main Board. Should that happen the mechanism would have to be replaced. If the mechanism could not be replaced for some reason the entire Main Board would need replacing. A simple solution would be to use a Micro SD to Micro SD Extension Cable instead and if it wares out simply replace the cable. This is a frame mounted Micro SD to Micro SD Extension Cable mount for the FLSUN Super Racer. This mount includes a cover to hide the ribbon and protect the Micro SD Circuit Board from getting bumped resulting in damage. The cover allows ventilation of the printer as there is plenty of air flow in that area. The frame mount that holds the 'head' of the Micro SD Card Extension cable is very snug and will stay where it is placed. In order to mount it to the frame the frame cap will need to be removed in order to slide the mount down the frame. Place the frame mount 30mm down from the top of the frame so it will line up with the cable supports on the cover. Once done replace the frame cap. When printing the protective cover largest side down use 3 first layers when slicing. This will print 2 layers of support making the outside of the cover more rigid. Supports will be needed for the cable guides and tricky to remove without breaking the guides. I gently slipped a utility blade under the supports to free them loose and from experience be patient and work slowly so the support is released without damage. Work smartly to avoid cutting yourself. The length of the Micro SD to Micro SD Card Extension needs to be at least 28 CM in order to make the stretch. The one I used was 48 CM in length and needed to be shortened a little bit. To do that gently fold the ribbon cable back and forth till it is at a length that will fit under the cover and in the cable supports. The folds do not need to be flat and a tight corner will do. Once you have it shaped it can be held steady by small rubber bands, small plastic paper clips, strong thread or as I did with fishing line. (see pic) Please note the Protective Cover is not perfect. The mounting hole is slightly off and I did not want to try to move it using the Cad Program I was using. To remedy this I found that enlarging the mounting hole to ¼ inch (6.5mm) solves the problem and mounts just fine. If you have ever drilled holes in plastic you know to enlarge the hole in small increments to reach the ¼ inch opening. The screw on the printer can be used to mount the cover, be careful not to cross thread it as it will only tighten down a few threads.
