I realy like the orbiter but the problem as direct extruder on the SR is the protruding motor due to the planet-gear. The Sherpa mini however fits well and is even lighter. The distance from filament path to the motor-backside is only 32 mm. So why don´t give it a try? Here´s a version for a mount on the original effector-plate. Not tested until first publication! The hole assembly (with real volcano nickel-plated copper-heatblock (new fanducts needed: thing:4862337 by Rics_3D), bimetal-heatbreak and nickel-plated copper-nozzle) weighs about 380g. For less weight it needs a complete new Effector-design instead of the heavy original metal-plate. But on the other hand at this stage of construction it´s just a replacement of the heavy and airflow-obstructing original steel-cage. All other original parts stay the same. This printed cage has an optimised airflow through the Coldend what should help against heat-creeps. Use M2/M3 threaded inserts - I prefer the ones from Ruthex. Remove the upper ring on top push fitting - it´s not needed anymore. PTFE-tube length: 54.5 mm Bolts for Sherpa on cage: M3x12 Printing: Nothing special. I choose 3 perimeters.
